Who we are
Who are we?
PharmSupport was founded in 2011 by Jan Damm, Boudewijn de Jong, and Gert Beuving.

One year earlier, in 2010, Jan Damm had been part of a brainstorming meeting with a board member of a hospital association. The main question that arose was ‘What can we learn from Quality Management in Pharma?’ During that period MSD, where all three founders were employed, was going through a reorganization.

On August 30, 2011 Jan Damm, Boudewijn de Jong and Gert Beuving took the question that had arisen from the hospital board member and made it their mission to improve Quality in hospital pharmacies in the Netherlands. Together they started organizing conferences for hospital pharmacists. Their hunch was right: the need for more information on this topic was very high, and a great number of questions came from the conferences they organized.

The plan to improve Quality Management in Pharma turned out to be the beginning of PharmSupport.
